SAN JOSE – Police officers on Wednesday raided a pair of residential brothels in San Jose, ultimately arresting four suspects and freeing half a dozen victims of human trafficking, a police spokesman said.

Search warrants were served at homes on the 1900 block of South King Road and the 5600 block of Silver Leaf Road, according to San Jose police Sgt. Enrique Garcia.

Garcia said officers arrested 47-year-old Monica “Amy” Dien Tien Ho, 40-year-old Richard Yoo and 57-year-old Thu Thi Nguyen, all of San Jose, as well as 68-year-old Kimberly Nguyen, of Las Vegas. The foursome was booked into Santa Clara County jail.

Ho, believed by police to be the madam, was booked on charges of human trafficking, pimping and pandering. She is being held on $600,000 bail at the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas, according to online jail records.

Kimberly Nguyen and Thu Thi Nguyen, believed by police to be the house managers, as well as Yoo were booked on charges of pimping, pandering and maintaining a house of ill repute. Yoo was also booked on a felony warrant for an alleged assault with a deadly weapon.

According to online jail records, Yoo is being held without bail at Elmwood.

Garcia said the six victims, who ranged in age from 24 to 54, were connected with advocates.
