There’s no question the Bay Area brewery scene boasts a dedicated following. What’s better than drinking a craft cold one with friends while playing games and chowing down on local food?

Last week, we asked readers to help us choose the region’s best brewery, bracket-style. And you delivered, narrowing down our reader-nominated 16 selections to the Amazing Eight.

The results are in, with Fieldwork Brewing Company, which has locations in San Ramon, Berkeley and San Mateo, beating out San Jose’s Gordon Biersch Brewing Company with 74 percent of the vote, and San Jose’s Floodcraft Brewing Co. besting Redwood City’s Freewheel Brewing Company with 63 percent of the votes.

Here’s who else made the cut: Walnut Creek’s Mike Hess Brewing beat out East Brother Beer Company in Richmond with 63 percent. Meanwhile, Cellarmaker Brewing Co. in San Francisco bested Dublin’s INC 82 Brewing with 58 percent.

So, what now? Cast your votes, brewery fans! Weigh in on the brackets from now until noon Thursday. Be sure to click the “done” button when you’re finished to submit your votes. We’ll unveil the Final Four on Friday.
