Hello, Teddy here. Do you like going for walks? Me, too! Lying on the couch? What are the odds?! I am a big lovable 5-year-old dude that adores people and may get along with another dog if you carefully introduce us. Meet me at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS), open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at 1590 Fortmann Way in Alameda. See all of their animals at alamedaanimalshelter.org. For more information, call 510-337-8565.

My name is Homestead, and I want to be in your home. I’m a sweet, mature girl with a lot of love to give. Meet me at the East Bay SPCA, Oakland (EBSPCA), open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at 8323 Baldwin St. in Oakland. Lilbit and Sweet Pea are absolute loves that follow you around. They are a purr-fect pair of kittens still waiting for their forever home. To meet them, contact Jill at ihelpcats@gmail.com. Community Concern for Cats (CC4C) places all our felines in foster homes, and most of them can be seen at weekend adoption events from 1 to 4 p.m. at Petco in Walnut Creek and Pet Food Express in Lafayette as well as at Pet Food Express locations in Pleasant HIll (1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays) and Concord (1 to 4 p.m. Sundays). This week’s five precious Manzana kitten sisters inherited their petite mom’s Siamese looks and temperament. They enjoy a warm lap and are sweet and affectionate. These curious little rascals can be quite chatty and are all good with the litter box. No appointment is necessary to meet any of the wonderful dogs and cats at Milo Point Richmond, which is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Mondays (closed Tuesdays) at 220 S. Garrard Blvd. in Point Richmond. Visit our website at milofoundation.org to find your next loving companion.

Cookie is a funny, walk-loving little Chihuahua mix that doesn’t bark a lot. He’s good with other dogs, cats, kids and grown-ups. It’s hard to believe he’s 10 years old. His owner passed away, and Cookie is living in a boarding kennel. He’s still a happy dog, but it”s a sad situation. For more details about this or other pets up for adoption at the Contra Costa SPCA in Concord (CCSPCA) call 925 323-0667.
