If Bradley Cooper is pining for a relationship filled with the “connection” and creative soul-bonding he said he found with Lady Gaga in “A Star is Born,” his girlfriend Irina Shayk isn’t letting on that she’s concerned.

In fact, the Russian model and Sports Illustrated cover girl sounded breezy and confident while talking about balancing work and motherhood in brief interviews this week to tout her new fashion collection.
“I think if you love your work and, you know, you can find time for everything and, you know, I found myself to find time for everything,” said Shayk, who has a 19-month-old daughter with Cooper. She was chatting both with Extra and E! News about teaming up with Ellen Tracy for a new capsule collection at Lord & Taylor.
“We can see many women who are working moms and doing tons of stuff,” Shayk, 32, emphasized to Extra.
The Extra reporter got in a quick question about Cooper, asking Shayk if she was proud of him for the massive critical and box office success of “A Star is Born,” which he directed and starred in.
“Of course I am!” Shayk said.
But that’s apparently all she would say about Cooper. She and Cooper have been famously private about their relationship since they began dating in 2015.
But the success of “A Star is Born,” and Cooper’s on- and off-screen chemistry with Lady Gaga, have thrust the actor into the limelight in ways that even an A-lister like him probably is unaccustomed to.
That means Cooper’s private life also has come under a new level of scrutiny. So has Lady Gaga’s, probably prompting her to finally confirm her engagement to talent agent Christian Carino, while sporting a pink diamond engagement ring reportedly valued at $1 million.
The New York Times tried to grill Cooper on his personal life and background a bit for a major profile, but he was reticent. Meanwhile, it didn’t go unnoticed that he and Lady Gaga gushed about each other constantly during the press tour for their film, which opened Oct. 5. They spoke often of their “instant” connection and about how they were creative soulmates.
After bringing major sexual heat to their roles as musician lovers, Cooper and Lady Gaga also engaged in plenty of PDA at press events and premieres. When walking the red carpet at film festivals in Venice, Toronto or the UK, the two held hands — a lot longer than you would expect of a man and woman who only talk about each other as good friends and admiring co-stars.
Around the same time, the tabloids and paparazzi began following Cooper and Shayk when they ventured out of their New York City home to go out to dinner or to take their daughter to the park.

It was after one of those outings that Page Six reported that Cooper and Shayk were “miserable together” and have been “miserable” for months.
Spies at the restaurant Masa in the Time Warner Center told Page Six that the couple didn’t look “happy” together when they dined there earlier this month.
“The couple sat down,” one spy said. “He was in a hoodie and she was fresh-faced — no makeup — and they barely spoke to each other at the start of the meal. Halfway through, she started looking off to the side and he was moody.”
Contrast Cooper’s reported demeanor with Shayk at Masa with the way he and Lady Gaga talked about each other in various interviews. Cooper called Lady Gaga “a revelation” and said in interviews he couldn’t have made the movie without her.
“I think the biggest thing I learned is that sky’s the limit if you find a companion artistically, and you have a project,” he said, according to New York magazine’s The Cut. “There is no dreaming too big. What people can do together is so much more powerful than what they can do by themselves.”
Cooper also said he and Lady Gaga felt an “instant connection” when they first met at her home. Some of that had to do with their East Coast roots and their shared love of Italian food.
Cooper said, “She came down the stairs and we went out to her patio and I saw her eyes, and honestly, it clicked and I went, ‘Wow.'”
In another interview, Lady Gaga said Cooper was the “revelation” when she discovered what a good singer he was. She said this discovery came when he asked if they could sing together at their first meeting.
She was nervous because he was a three-time Oscar nominee, but she began playing the song “Midnight Special.”
“He started to sing,” Lady Gaga recalled to People TV. “I just stopped playing. I looked over at him and said, ‘Oh my gosh, Bradley, you have a voice! You can sing!'”
