OAKLAND — A 30-year-old San Francisco man fatally shot in East Oakland Wednesday night was identified by police Friday as Dario Crawford.
Crawford was taken to a hospital by another person about 7:19 p.m. Wednesday and later died, police said.
Police later determined he had been shot in the 3400 block of 66th Avenue, a residential street north of MacArthur Boulevard.
Police have not released a motive yet for the killing and have not made any arrests. They are still trying to determine what Crawford was doing in Oakland.
The killing is the 65th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year. At this time last year, police had investigated 62 homicides in the city.
