OAKLAND — Those with outstanding Alameda County traffic court fees, can now pay them online, over the phone or even a 7-Eleven or CVS, the court announced Monday.

Starting July 1, court users with those outstanding traffic fees or fines that have already been referred to collections can pay using a debit or credit card, via phone, online, or by sending a check to Linebarger.

The Alameda County Superior Court has partnered with company Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson to provide collection services, allowing those with outstanding traffic fees and fines easier ways to make payments. They previously worked with Alliance One, which also offered online payment options.

The new partnership also allows court users to pay by cash using a PayNearMe service, which is available in locations such as 7-Eleven, CVS and other stores throughout the county. PayNearMe has no additional transaction fee, but is traceable for proof of payment, and all users will receive a receipt.

For payment instructions, go to https://apps3.alameda.courts.ca.gov/webpay/views/citation-entry.aspx.

Questions about PayNearMe and other Linebarger services, or about their accounts being transferred from Alliance One to Linebarger can call Linebarger at 1-844-544-5358.

Also starting July 1, the court announced a new online filing fee of $5 on Monday for criminal and juvenile cases. State and county agencies are exempt from paying filing fees under state law.

This new online filing fee is to help cover the operational costs of the electronic filing system. Alameda County has a new contract with vendor Tyler Technologies.
