It’s a huge week for music in the Bay Area, highlighted by two enticing classic-rock bills set for AT&T Park in San Francisco. Here are some of the top picks for the week (Sept. 20-26):
Eagles
The year 1976 was a very good one for the Eagles. It’s when the band released its first compilation record, “Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975,” and their seventh studio album, “Hotel California.” To say that both were successful is a vast understatement. “Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975” now ranks as the top-selling album of all time in the U.S. “Hotel California” ranks at three on that same list. Wow. The Eagles performs Sept. 20 at AT&T Park in San Francisco. Rounding out the bill are country-rockers Zac Brown Band and San Jose’s own the Doobie Brothers.
