Sorry, Madonna fans, but you’ll need to make other plans for Halloween night.
Madonna has postponed her show originally set for Oct. 31 at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco. The new date is now Nov. 5.
The other two local dates of Madonna’s Madame X Tour at the Golden Gate Theatre remain the same: Nov. 2 and 4.
Word of the postponement came via a news release, which made no mention of a reason for the postponement.
But she has postponed previous dates on this tour due to production issues.
“Madame X is a perfectionist and wants to give you the most unique, magical, and musical experience,” Rolling Stone reported that Madonna said in a statement. “She underestimated the amount of time it would take to bring this kind of intimate theatrical experience to you and wants it to be perfect!!! Thank you so much for your understanding.”
The latest news release does provide information for those who bought tickets for the Oct. 31 date:
“Patrons who purchased for the originally scheduled October 31st event will receive tickets with the new performance date of Tuesday, November 5th. Fans who are unable to attend the November 5th performance and prefer a refund, please email tickets@broadwaysf.com and include your order # or call BroadwaySF at 888 746 1799. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
