It’s a big week for concerts in the Bay Area, highlighted by an appearance from Travis Scott in Oakland. Here are some of the top picks:
Travis Scott
The Houston hip-hop hero is touring in support of his latest hit album, “Astroworld,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 back in August and has since gone on to achieve platinum certification.
Scott, best known to some as the beau of one Kylie Jenner, performs Dec. 16 at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Trippie Redd, Gunna and Sheck Wes are also on the bill.

Mac Powell
The talented vocalist, who is best known for his work with the Christian rock band Third Day, leads his Family Reunion into the Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz on Dec. 15.

Il Divo
The classical-crossover vocal group returns to the Bay Area in support of its ninth studio album, “Timeless,” and performs Dec. 14 at the City National Civic in San Jose.

Tenacious D
Jack Black and Walnut Creek native Kyle Gass are back and ready to rock fans during a two-night stand, Dec. 17-18, at the Fox Theater in Oakland. The rock/comedy duo is supporting its fourth studio album, “Post-Apocalypto,” which follows 2012’s “Rize of the Fenix.”
