Oct. 7-13

La Cocina’s San Francisco Street Food Festival: 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 12, Power Station, 420 23rd St., San Francisco. A celebration featuring 50-plus Bay Area chefs and restaurants. Live entertainment with family-friendly activities.  $5-$50. www.sfstreetfoodfest.com/

Life is Living Festival: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 12, deFremery Park, 1651 Adeline St., Oakland. Live music, dance, theater performances, art installations, food, kids zone and more. Free admission. https://youthspeaks.org/lifeisliving/

Silicon Valley Jazz Festival: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.. Oct. 12-13. Fremont Park, Santa Cruz Ave. and University Drive, Menlo Park. Event features local school groups, Bay Area musicians and national headliners. Beer, wine and food trucks. Free. www.svjazzfest.com/

GLOW — A Festival of Fire and Light: 7-10 p.m. Oct. 12, The MAH, 705 Front St., Santa Cruz. The festival features fire and digital artists along with performances by flamethrowers, flaming sculptures, fire-breathing instruments and an electrified museum. $10-$25. https://santacruzmah.org/glow

Oct. 14-20

Bethel Island Heart of the Delta Festival: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 19, 3090 Ranch Lane, Bethel Island. Live music featuring the Billy Martini Show, food, beer and wine, arts and crafts, 5K run/walk, Queen of Bethel Island contest, duckie races, car show, kids zone and more. Oct. 21-27

Croatian Heritage Festival: Noon-8 p.m. Oct. 27, Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga Ave., San Francisco. Performances by Sinovi Tamburitza Orchestra, the Slavonian Traveling Band, Sidro Tamburitza Orchestra, and Koraci Croatian Folklore Ensemble. Plus Croatian kolo dancing and singing workshops, and traditional Croatian food. $10-$15. www.CroatianAmericanWeb.org

Nov. 4-10

SF Olympians Festival: 8 p.m. Wed.-Sat., Nov. 6-23, The Exit Stage Left, 156 Eddy St., San Francisco. This festival debuts 38 new plays — shorts, one acts and full length — by 36 writers, each exploring a different legend from the mythology of Ancient Gaul, Britain and Ireland. $10-$12. www.sfolympians.com
