A San Jose woman was one of two people killed within a week by off-road vehicle crashes at Oceano Dunes state park.
Both deaths occurred near Vent Pipe, at the south end of the beach recreation area that is open to vehicles.
The most recent of the accidents, on Friday afternoon, killed Chor Vang, 34, of Sacramento, the parks agency said Monday.
Vang was among a group of friends riding rented all-terrain vehicles. He was thrown from the ATV and then struck by it; investigators believe he fell off when braking suddenly at the top of a dune. He was the only person on the vehicle, and nobody else was injured.

On the previous Friday, April 19, Narcissa Lichtman, 44, of San Jose, was killed when the off-road vehicle in which she was riding crashed from a 25- to 30-foot-tall dune, Chief Ranger Kevin Pearce said last week. It went end over end before rolling, the accident report said.
Lichtman was among a party riding in five vehicles at speeds of up to 60 mph, Pearce said. A man and a child were riding with her at the head of the group. Three of the vehicles behind them also crashed off the dune, though none of them collided with each other.
Rangers and then emergency responders gave Lichtman medical treatment and were able to restore her pulse, but she died at a hospital in Arroyo Grande.
The man and child from Lichtman’s vehicle were also taken to a hospital. Occupants of the three other crashed vehicles suffered minor injuries.
Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area, 3 miles south of Pismo Beach, is the only California state park where vehicles can drive on the beach. About 1,000 acres are open for that purpose. It gets about 2.2 million visitors a year.
