OAKLAND — A motorcyclist who died Wednesday night after police said he was hit by a pickup truck in West Oakland was identified by the coroner’s office Friday as Richard Wilson, 36.
The driver of the pickup truck, an Oakland resident in his 50s, was also hospitalized in critical condition. His name has not been released.
Wilson, of Oakland, was riding a Honda motorcycle when he was hit by a Dodge pickup truck at 8:28 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 12th and Willow streets, police said He died later at a hospital.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of the collision but have said alcohol was a factor in what happened.
