The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) is known for its eclectic exhibits and family-friendly Friday night parties, complete with live music, food trucks and artsy goings on. This Saturday kicks all that up a hefty notch with Ziggurat Late Night.
You may have heard of Ziggurat — it’s the museum’s big fundraising gala, complete with dinner, auction and spendy price tag. (Gala tickets start at $1,000.) But Ziggurat Late Night ($75) is the sizzling after party — and you don’t have to go to one to attend the other.
Late Night runs from 9 p.m. to midnight May 11 and includes dancing — Los Angeles’ Poolside will be doing DJ honors — plus small bites crafted by chef Reem Assil (Reem’s California, Dyafa), St. George Spirits cocktails, Purple Spirits Wine and Lagunitas beer, and admission to the museum’s new “Queer California: Untold Stories” exhibit.
