OAKLAND — Police are investigating what led to a male victim suffering a gunshot wound in East Oakland on Saturday afternoon.
It was not clear whether the victim sustained life-threatening injuries during the shooting, which was reported about 4:40 p.m. in the 1300 block of 102nd Avenue, police said.
Oakland police remained at the scene hours later, processing evidence and seeking to talk with any witnesses.
Details such as the victim’s age, city of residence, and a possible motive for the shooting, were not immediately available.
