Note: Voting closed on this poll at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

“A Star Is Born” is off to a very strong start in our Oscar challenge, where you decide which film should be named best picture at this year’s Academy Awards.

The blockbuster film, starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, had the most convincing win in the first round of voting, snaring just over 80 percent of the vote in a match up against the wonderful Christian Bale film “Vice.”

That was just one of the four contests going head to head in the first round. “Green Book” had a tough match-up against “Roma” — the Netflix movie many have pegged as the favorite to actually win best picture on Feb. 24 — but still managed to come out on top with 57 percent of the vote.

(Unfortunately for “Green Book,” its next opponent is the charging freight train known as “A Star Is Born.” But perhaps it can pull of an upset here, too.)

“Black Panther” also posted a convincing win over “The Favourite,” with the Marvel superhero film clawing its way to approximately 62 percent of the vote. This time around, “Black Panther” will be matched up against the Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which took some 57 percent of the vote in its first round against “BlacKkKlansman.”

Now, it’s time to start voting — and voting often — for your favorites in the second round of our Oscar challenge. Remember, it’s up to you to decide whether your favorites advance to the next round.

Second round voting runs until 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the winners announced shortly thereafter. Then it will be time for the finals, with your top choice named best picture of the year.
