Not So Silent Night is finally heading back to San Jose.
And it’s doing so with a huge lineup.
Radio station 105.3-FM (Alt 105.3, formerly known as Live 105) has announced the bill for its 2018 Not So Silent Night holiday concert, set for Dec. 8 at the SAP Center in San Jose.
Topping the list is Florence and the Machine, one of the biggest rock acts in the world. The platinum-selling band was last seen in the Bay Area in August, when it headlined the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
The lineup also features Death Cab for Cutie, Bastille, Young the Giant, Chvrches, the Struts and Elle King.
Now, that’s impressive.
“Not So Silent Night has grown from a small acoustic concert in 1991 to a huge arena show hosting some of the biggest alternative acts.” Said Michael Martin, senior vice president of programming and music initiatives. “This year is no different. We’re very excited to have artists that are on the forefront of new music for this year’s NSSN.”
Tickets are $29-$129 and go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Oct. 19, www.ticketmaster.com.
A number of different venues have hosted Not So Silent Night over the years, but it’s regular home in recent years has been Oracle Arena in Oakland. The last time the show was held at the SAP Center was 2010.
