Music fans have a lot to choose from this week, including two shows with Childish Gambino. Here are some of the top picks:
Childish Gambino: The hip-hop/R&B star, whose real name is Donald Glover, was forced to postpone several tour dates — including stops in Oakland and San Jose — earlier this fall due to a foot injury.
But, now, Gambino is ready to entertain his Bay Area fans with rescheduled dates at Oracle Arena in Oakland on Dec. 11 and at SAP Center in San Jose on Dec. 12. This is said to be the final Childish Gambino tour before Glover retires the persona.
Rae Sremmurd opens the Oakland show, while Vince Staples gets the party started in San Jose.

Metallica
These four mighty men of metal — vocalist-gutiarist James Hetfield, lead guitarist Kirk Hammett, drummer Lars Ulrich and bassist Robert Trujillo — aren’t playing the Bay Area during their swing through California. So, consider catching Metallica in concert at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center on Dec. 7.

December People
The talented band, featuring Gary Pihl (Boston), Robert Berry (Greg Kihn Band, Sammy Hagar Band), David Medd (The Tubes), David Lauser (Sammy Hagar Band) and Jack Foster (Jack Foster Band), presents “A Classic Rock Christmas” Dec. 7-8 at Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton. These shows double as a food drive for hungry families, so bring a bag of non-perishable, non-expired food items.

Alice in Winterland
This annual holiday show, sponsored by local radio station Alice 97.3, features OneRepublic, Leon Bridges and Michael Franti on Dec. 6 at the Masonic in San Francisco.
