Lincecum: First start with Angels 'felt like riding a bike again'

Where has Tim Lincecum gone? Apparently to the gym. A lot.

We all got a look at the former Giants ace thanks to a social media posting by Rockies pitcher Adam Ottavino. Lincecum is shown in Ottavino’s Instagram post working out in Kent, Wash. looking somewhat more buffed than we remember him.

Check that. We do seem to remember a strong-looking Lincecum with some World Series hardware in his hands a few years back.

The ever elusive Lincecum had not been seen or heard of since he ended the 2016 season after turning in some disastrous results while pitching with the Los Angeles Angels (hide your eyes: he had a 9.16 earned run average in nine starts). Not even some top-notch sleuthing by our Dan Brown a few months ago could uncover the whereabouts of the Giants fans’ favorite.

In the new Ottavino photo, the 33-year-old Lincecum is not only in great shape, he’s got a glove on his hand and appears ready to make another pitch to return to the majors.

Lincecum, in fact, will be throwing in a showcase for any interested teams in the near future, according to the folks at the Driveline Baseball facility.

Would there be a market for a two-time Cy Young Award winner? Only time will tell.
