The Las Vegas venue that came under sniper attack Sunday night is a 15-acre outdoor festival site at the south end of the Strip.

Las Vegas Village, owned by MGM Resorts, is on the opposite side of Las Vegas Boulevard from three major resorts: Mandalay Bay — where the shooter was firing from a 32nd-floor window — Luxor and Excalibur. It’s about half a mile west of the runways of McCarran International Airport.

Until two years ago, it was known as MGM Resorts Village.
