OAKLAND — Kevin Durant fell awkwardly early in the first quarter on Thursday night, landing hard on his left hand. He shook off the pain, stayed in the game and stayed aggressive after trainers looked at it, playing eight more minutes.

But once Durant checked out of the game, he went down the tunnel and to the locker room for X-rays, briefly concerning some folks. But they were negative. The team ruled the injury a left pinky contusion — a best case scenario after the fall.

Durant returned from the locker room and checked into the game a minute later, setting up James Michael McAdoo on dunks soon after.
