Watch Stephen Curry’s response when asked if he could leave the Bay Area team.
The Warriors forward sat down for a podcast after practice on Saturday and told The TK Show about the emotions that go into playing some of the team’s NBA rivals.
Curry also shared what the team has discussed since playing Cleveland on Christmas.
“We talked about it a lot since the Christmas Day game where we tried things based on what we thought would work against them and not stick to just who we are, and our bread and butter and making them react to us. That was a learning lesson for us,” he said.
He added that it would be in the back on their minds when they play the Cavaliers Monday night.
The video shows Curry’s response when host Tim Kawakami asked him if he could fathom leaving the team this summer. As Kawakami detailed in his column, Bay Area fans will probably like the answer:
“Like I’ve said from Day 1 when I was first asked about free agency, this is a perfect place to play. Bay Area fans are amazing, our organization’s amazing, we’ve put together an amazing team that’s competing for championships every year.”
“There’s really no reason that I can see right now that would draw me elsewhere.”
Kawakami also described more about the interview in a blog post.
