Conor McGregor’s name is quickly becoming a brand beyond the UFC with the news that he’s going to make an appearance on “Game of Thrones” next season.

McGregor, who is the holder of both the UFC featherweight and lightweight titles, has been rumored to cross over into boxing and wants a match with undefeated Floyd Mayweather.

The “Game of Thrones” appearance is no rumor. McGregor has already shot his scenes, as UFC president Dana White said during a segment of “Fox Sports Live” Wednesday. You can catch it here at about the 4:30 mark.

Last year there was video of McGregor wrestling Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who places Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane on the show.

White didn’t spill on just what role McGregor would be playing, but the Game of Thrones fansite “Watchers on the Wall” reported that McGregor will be playing the non-speaking role of a pirate belonging serving under Euron Greyjoy on the ship Silence.
