SAN FRANCISCO — The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a Colorado woman who missed her flight Monday and has not been seen since.

Teresita Atkins, 63, of Colorado Springs, was last seen around 9:30 p.m. inside the San Francisco Airport’s domestic terminal. Authorities said Atkins suffers from a mental illness and takes medication, and her family suspects she may have become confused and disoriented.

Atkins was described as about 4 feet tall and 90 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Atkins’ whereabouts is asked to call the San Francisco Airport Dispatch Center at 650-876-2424. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call 800-547-2700.
