A billboard boasting Colin Kaepernick and the word “Patriotism” will reportedly be put up on the Bay Bridge.

Activism outfit Courage Campaign announced plans Monday to commission a digital billboard of the 49ers quarterback in response to recent police shooting in North Carolina and Oklahoma amid his ongoing protest.

“Keith Scott. Tyre King. Terence Crutcher. The police murders of these three unarmed black men just this week prove the necessity of Colin Kaepernick’s protest,” Courage Campaign executive director Eddie Kurtz wrote in a release. “By calling America to be its best self, by asking us to live up to our values even though it’s unpopular, Kaepernick and those emulating him are showing us the true meaning of patriotism. Plain and simple – Black Lives Matter. Courage Campaign’s more than 1.3 million members in California and around the country stand with Kaepernick in his protest and will continue to fight against racism and police violence towards black people in the United States.”

The billboard will reportedly be viewable to I-80 traffic exiting the Bay Bridge into Oakland, another East Bay-related sign of support for Kaepernick’s civil rights protest. A mural of Kap was found in Oakland last week.
