Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Van Morrison, jazz legend Wayne Shorter and rising star Cecile McLorin Salvant are among the many highlights of SFJAZZ’s 2016-2017 season.

The recently released lineup also includes such jazz heavyweights as Brad Mehldau, Joshua Redman, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Chucho Valdes, Robert Glasper and Mary Stallings. SFJAZZ concerts primarily take place at the SFJAZZ Center. in San Francisco

“Season five at the SFJAZZ Center is a milestone for the organization,” says Randall Kline, SFJAZZ founder and artistic director. “We have built a community center that has been graciously received by San Franciscans and jazz fans around the world. Our values of openness, looking forward, presenting the highest levels of art, and community building are the foundation of our ongoing growth and our mission.

“This season is a proud moment for us and a time to reflect on what has been achieved but more importantly to look forward to build on what has been accomplished.”

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 11 a.m. July 13, www.sfjazz.org.

SFJAZZ members can buy tickets beginning at 11 a.m. June 25.
