Stacey Dash says BET and Black History Month should be done away with.
Oh.
Dash, an African-American known for playing a supporting role in one hit movie 20 years ago, appeared on “Fox & Friends” to talk race.
“We have to make up our minds,” Dash said. “Either we want to have segregation or integration. And if we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET (Black Entertainment Television) and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re Black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”
There is an awards show where it’s the other way around. It’s called the Academy Awards.
Host Steve Doocy asked the “Clueless” actress (clueless actress?) to confirm she wants BET folded up.
“Just like there shouldn’t be a Black History Month. You know? We’re Americans. Period. That’s it.”
Well, that’s it, then. Stacey Dash has just solved centuries of racial strife. That was easy.
Doocy also asked “Are you saying there shouldn’t be a Black History Month because there isn’t a white history month?”
“Exactly. Exactly,” Dash said.
